YIFY: movies and TV shows in HD, panel by panel
YIFY is a catalogue of movies and TV shows with a look many visitors remember: a black page, the green YIFY mark in the top corner, a row of tabs on the right, and light rounded panels holding films in rows of three. Each film shows its title and year above the cover and two buttons below it, View Info and Watch. The Watch button leads to the services that carry the title in your country, in HD, with subtitles.
This guide explains YIFY from the top of the page to the last panel. It starts with the layout, the panels, the title pages, the series pages and the Watch button. It then walks through the catalogue: the blockbusters of the 2010s, the classics, Bollywood, world cinema from Italy to Hong Kong, and the TV shows people watch from the first episode to the last. It ends with the practical part: subtitles, picture quality, phones and TVs, My List, free and paid services, and safety.
The YIFY page
Every YIFY page opens the same way. In the top right corner a small line greets you with Hello, movie fan!, followed by links to My List and Help in green. On the left sits the YIFY Movies mark: three glossy green reels inside a sweeping green curve.
On the right, the tabs run in a dark rounded strip: Home, Browse Movies, TV Shows, Latest, Top IMDb and Search. The tab you are on turns white with a green line underneath, and the others stay grey until you point at them.
Below the header, a dark panel with rounded corners holds everything else. Its first row is a light search bar with a green button; under it the content splits into a wide main column and a narrow side column.
The welcome panel
On the home page the main column begins with the welcome panel. Its large bold heading introduces YIFY, a short paragraph describes the catalogue, and a row of green-edged shortcuts leads to Browse Movies, TV Shows, Top IMDb, Bollywood, World Cinema and My List.
Like every YIFY panel, it has a light background, rounded corners and a heading underlined by a pale grey rule. The panels sit on the dark background like cards on a table, which keeps each section clearly separated.
The shortcuts are the quickest way in for regular visitors: one click to the TV shows, one click to the Bollywood shelf, one click to the list you saved last week.
Films in rows of three
Films on YIFY sit in cells, three to a row, with thin grey dividers between them and a pale line underneath each row. At the top of every cell, the title and year appear in bold, centred above the cover.
Under the cover, a small line shows the audience score with a green star and the first two genres, such as Science Fiction / Action. At the bottom sit two italic buttons: the grey View Info, which opens the title page, and the green Watch, which opens the same page at the viewing panel.
TV series use the same cells with a small green TV tag in the corner of the cover, so films and shows can share a panel and still be told apart at a glance.
Why panels of three
The three-column panel is the heart of the YIFY design. Three titles side by side leave room for a proper cover, a readable title and year, a line of genres and two clear buttons, even on a laptop screen.
The grey dividers and pale rules make each cell easy to scan, and the light panels on the black page keep the focus on the covers. On a phone the same cells simply become two per row.
The same cell is used everywhere: on the home page, on genre and year pages, in search results and on My List, so every list on YIFY reads the same way.
Popular Movies
The first catalogue panel on the home page is Popular Movies, three films that everyone is watching right now. At the moment they are Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Odyssey and Project Hail Mary.
The More link at the right end of the heading opens the full Trending page, where every title is ranked by current popularity on TMDB.
Popular Movies is chosen by hand from the most popular titles, so it always shows films worth a look, even in weeks when many releases arrive at once.
Latest Movies
Latest Movies follows with six of the newest films in two rows of three. New arrivals such as The Love Hypothesis, The Runner, Mayday and The Whisper Man appear here first.
The More link opens the full Latest page, where every film is listed by release date, newest at the top.
For more on how new films move from cinemas to rental and subscription services, see New films on YIFY.
TV Shows on the home page
The TV Shows panel shows six series at a time, most popular first: The Office, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Mentalist, American Horror Story and House lead the list this week.
The All TV shows link opens the complete TV Shows tab, with every series in the catalogue, from miniseries such as Band of Brothers to long runs like The Walking Dead.
The TV shows guide groups them by kind: crime and drama, fantasy and science fiction, comedy and animation.
Top rated, Bollywood, World Cinema and the 2010s
Under the TV panel, Top rated lists six of the highest-scoring titles, with a Top 100 link to the full ranking. Bollywood follows with three Hindi favourites, and World Cinema with three films from beyond Hollywood.
Best of the 2010s closes the film panels with six titles from the decade people most associate with YIFY, from Inception to Mad Max: Fury Road.
After that come the collections, listed with their film counts, the help pages as short cards, and finally this guide in its own panel.
The side column
The narrow column on the right appears on every page. Its first panel is Just Released: the six most recent films, each with its title and year in bold, a cover underneath and a small line with the release date.
The second panel lists every genre in two columns of green links, from Action and Adventure to War and Western, including the series genres such as Sci-Fi and Fantasy and War and Politics.
On phones and narrow screens, the side column moves under the main column, so every panel stays close at hand on a small display.
The search bar
The light search bar at the top of the panel looks through titles, original titles, cast and directors. Type a name and press the green button to see every match in the familiar three-column cells.
It understands the way people actually search. Words such as yify, movie, 1080p, brrip, x264, subtitles and srt are skipped, and season and episode numbers are read, so "mr robot s2e3" goes straight to Mr. Robot.
The Search tab opens the full search page with filters for type, genre, year, language, status, rating and order. The Finding a film or series guide has examples.
The title page
Every film and series has its own page. The cover sits beside the title, the original title, the year, the runtime or seasons and the genres, followed by the synopsis and two buttons: the green Watch and Add to My List.
A grid of facts follows: original title, release date, original language, country, runtime, studio, the TMDB audience score and its votes, and other names the title is known by. Cast and creators appear below, then similar titles to try next.
Each page has a clean address built from the English title and its TMDB number, so links you share keep working.
Series, seasons and episodes
Series pages add a list of seasons. Each season opens its own page with every episode in order: number, title and first air date.
Next to each episode sits a Reached this episode button. Press it and YIFY remembers your place in that series, showing it on the series page and under Where you left off on My List.
The Seasons and episodes guide explains the season pages and how search finds a particular episode.
The Watch button
The green Watch button is where browsing turns into watching. It leads to the viewing panel, where you pick your country, and then to the title's page on JustWatch.
JustWatch lists every service that carries the title in that country: subscriptions like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max or JioHotstar, rentals and purchases on Google TV and Apple TV, and free services with adverts where available.
Because the listings are updated daily, the Watch button always shows where a title is today, whether it has just left cinemas or has been on a service for years. The How to watch guide walks through it.
Your viewing country
Services differ from country to country, so YIFY asks where you are watching. India is first in the list, followed by the United States, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and others.
The choice is saved in your browser and applied on every title page after that, so a viewer in London sets the United Kingdom once and sees British services from then on.
The country in the facts grid is different: it tells you where a title was made, such as Italy for Cinema Paradiso or Japan for Seven Samurai.
Subtitles
YIFY and subtitles have always gone together in people's searches. With official services, subtitles are part of the package: each service provides its own tracks, translated and synchronised with its copy of the film.
To switch them on, open the subtitle or audio menu in the player and pick a language. Most apps remember it, so every film and episode afterwards starts with the same setting.
World cinema is where subtitles matter most, from Life Is Beautiful and Amélie to Oldboy and Spirited Away. The Subtitles guide has the details.
720p and 1080p
Picture quality was the other half of the YIFY name. On official services, the resolution follows your plan and your connection: 720p on phones and slower networks, 1080p on laptops and most TVs, 4K with HDR on premium plans.
The services adjust quality on the fly to keep playback smooth, and most apps let you choose a fixed quality or a data-saving mode.
Spectacles such as Dune: Part Two, Avatar: The Way of Water and Interstellar repay the best setting on the biggest screen. See 720p and 1080p for more.
The films of the 2010s
For many visitors, YIFY means the films of the early 2010s, and the catalogue leans into that decade. Inception opened it with a heist inside dreams, The Avengers brought Marvel's heroes together, and The Dark Knight Rises closed Nolan's Batman trilogy.
The middle of the decade brought Interstellar, Mad Max: Fury Road, Edge of Tomorrow, Pacific Rim, The Martian and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the end of it Arrival, La La Land and Avengers: Endgame.
The Films of the 2010s collection lists every one by popularity, and the 2010s guide picks the favourites.
Marvel and the superhero years
The superhero shelf follows the Marvel story from Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Thor through Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange and Black Panther to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Spider-Man has every era, from Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 to The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, plus the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
DC fans have The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Joker and The Batman, and the X-Men line includes X-Men: Days of Future Past and Deadpool.
Wizards, rings and hunger games
Long sagas suit a catalogue that keeps every part together. The Harry Potter films run from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opening the prequel story.
Middle-earth fills two trilogies: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, then The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
Young-adult favourites include The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Maze Runner, Insurgent and Allegiant, each with its own page, runtime and synopsis.
Animation for every age
YIFY's animation shelf is a family library in itself. Pixar brings Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL·E, Up, Inside Out and Coco.
Disney adds Tangled, Frozen, Zootopia, Big Hero 6 and Moana, and DreamWorks brings Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, How to Train Your Dragon 2 and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
The Ice Age and Madagascar films, Despicable Me, The Lego Movie and Hotel Transylvania round out the laughs. The Animation and family collection holds them all.
Studio Ghibli and anime
Japanese animation has a devoted following on YIFY. Studio Ghibli is here in depth: My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and The Boy and the Heron.
Anime classics such as Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Perfect Blue sit beside newer favourites like Your Name., A Silent Voice: The Movie and Weathering with You.
Series films include Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle and Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
Horror
Horror on YIFY runs from haunted houses to killer clowns. The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 follow the Warrens, Insidious and Insidious: The Red Door explore the Further, and It brings Stephen King's Pennywise to the screen.
Jigsaw returns to the Saw puzzles, It Follows turns a simple idea into dread, and Get Out made social horror a hit.
From Spain come The Orphanage and [REC], from Korea Train to Busan and A Tale of Two Sisters, and from Hollywood's 2000s 28 Days Later and I Am Legend.
Thrillers and mysteries
Thrillers are some of the most searched titles on YIFY. Gone Girl, Prisoners and Shutter Island keep viewers guessing, and The Prestige ends with one of cinema's great reveals.
Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 turn magic into heists, Knives Out and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery follow Benoit Blanc, and Catch Me If You Can tells the story of a young con man and the agent on his trail.
Minority Report mixes mystery with science fiction, and Sicario takes the genre to the border. The Crime and mystery collection lists them all.
Action
Action fans have a long list. The Mission: Impossible films from Mission: Impossible to Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible - Fallout set the standard for stunts.
Atomic Blonde and John Wick: Chapter 4 bring close-quarters fights, Gone in Sixty Seconds and Furious 7 bring the cars, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith brings a married couple of rival assassins.
The 1980s and 1990s are here too: Die Hard, Aliens, Top Gun, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Heat and Braveheart.
Comedy and romance
For a lighter evening, YIFY has comedies and love stories from every era. The Proposal, About Time, No Strings Attached and Me Before You are favourites for date night, and Pride & Prejudice and The Notebook for rainy afternoons.
The Hangover, Ted, Grown Ups, Mean Girls and The Devil Wears Prada bring the laughs, and Little Miss Sunshine and The Grand Budapest Hotel bring a gentler wit.
La La Land and Swiss Army Man are harder to categorise and all the better for it.
The classics
The classics shelf is where many YIFY evenings end up. The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan appear on almost every list of favourite films.
The 1980s bring Back to the Future, Back to the Future Part II, The Fly and Dead Poets Society; the 1990s bring Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Se7en, Good Will Hunting, The Truman Show, The Matrix and The Sixth Sense.
Disney's golden run includes The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. The Classics before 2000 collection lists them all.
The 2000s
The 2000s shelf is full of films people revisit. Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven brought back the historical epic, Troy retold the Iliad, and King Kong returned to Skull Island.
Ocean's Eleven, The Departed, American Gangster and No Country for Old Men cover crime, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe cover fantasy.
Superhero films of the decade include Fantastic Four, Blade: Trinity and Batman Begins, and Eight Legged Freaks is a cheerful creature feature.
Awards favourites
YIFY's drama shelf holds many of the films that won the big awards. The King's Speech, The Revenant, Whiplash, Black Swan and Hidden Figures are all here.
More recent winners include Everything Everywhere All at Once, Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon, with war dramas Hacksaw Ridge and Fury and the codebreaking story The Imitation Game.
The Drama collection brings them together with dramas from India, Italy, France and Korea.
Science fiction
Science fiction on YIFY spans generations. The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded rewrote action cinema, Avatar opened the world of Pandora, and Blade Runner 2049 returned to a rain-soaked future.
Arrival, The Martian, Dune and Dune: Part Two bring thoughtful stories on a grand scale, while Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes tell a long saga.
The Sci-fi and fantasy collection gathers them, with Project Hail Mary as this year's newest arrival.
New this year
This year's films arrive on YIFY as they are released. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Odyssey, Project Hail Mary, Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, The Mandalorian and Grogu and Supergirl lead the list.
Last year's big films stay close by: Avatar: Fire and Ash, Zootopia 2, Predator: Badlands, Jurassic World Rebirth and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.
The New in 2026 collection and the Just Released panel keep track of the newest additions.
Bollywood favourites
India is home to more YIFY visitors than any other country, and the Bollywood shelf reflects that. 3 Idiots and Like Stars on Earth made audiences laugh and cry, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara sent three friends on a road trip through Spain, and My Name Is Khan told a story of courage.
Shah Rukh Khan's films run from Don, Om Shanti Om and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi to Chennai Express, Happy New Year and Dilwale; Aamir Khan's include Ghajini, PK and Dangal.
The Bollywood guide lists the services that carry them in India and abroad.
Epics, romance and action from Mumbai
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grand films have their own following: Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, alongside Jodhaa Akbar.
Romance fans have Tamasha, Aashiqui 2, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, and action fans Dhoom 2, Dhoom 3, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Uri: The Surgical Strike.
From Tamil cinema, Vikram Vedha adds a sharp police thriller, and the recent The Sabarmati Report brings a newsroom drama.
Italian cinema
Italy has one of the richest shelves in YIFY's world cinema collection. Life Is Beautiful finds hope in the darkest place, Cinema Paradiso is a love letter to the movies, and The Legend of 1900 follows a pianist born on an ocean liner.
Sergio Leone's westerns, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West, remain among the most watched films on the shelf.
Fellini's La Dolce Vita and 8½, De Sica's Bicycle Thieves and Sorrentino's The Great Beauty and Youth complete a journey through Italian film history.
Spain and Latin America
Spanish-language cinema brings some of the most recommended films on YIFY. Pan's Labyrinth blends fairy tale and war, The Secret in Their Eyes won the Oscar for best foreign film, and Wild Tales is a wickedly funny anthology.
Amores Perros and Roma come from Mexico, The Orphanage and The Invisible Guest from Spain, and Society of the Snow retells the Andes survival story.
Recent favourites include The Platform, When Evil Lurks and Mirage.
France and Germany
French cinema on YIFY ranges from Amélie and The Intouchables to Léon: The Professional, The Fifth Element, La Haine and The Artist. Families can enjoy Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra and Arthur and the Invisibles.
German cinema brings The Lives of Others, Downfall, Das Boot, Run Lola Run, Good Bye, Lenin! and the recent All Quiet on the Western Front.
The silent era is here too, with Metropolis, Nosferatu and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and Fritz Lang's M.
Korea and Hong Kong
Korean films on YIFY include Oldboy, Memories of Murder, The Host, The Chaser, I Saw the Devil, The Man from Nowhere and Parasite, a run of thrillers few countries can match.
Hong Kong brings Wong Kar-wai's Chungking Express, Fallen Angels and In the Mood for Love, John Woo's Hard Boiled, and the police drama Infernal Affairs.
Jackie Chan fans have Drunken Master, Project A, Armour of God, Police Story 3: Super Cop and Who Am I?, and Stephen Chow fans Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle. Zhang Yimou's Hero completes the shelf.
Japanese live action
Japan's live-action classics stand beside its animation. Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai is one of the most influential films ever made.
Godzilla Minus One brought the monster back with a moving post-war story, and Wim Wenders's Perfect Days follows a Tokyo cleaner through his quiet routine.
The World cinema guide links these films with the rest of the international shelf.
Christopher Nolan on YIFY
Christopher Nolan's films are some of the most rewatched on YIFY. The Prestige follows two rival magicians, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises reinvent Batman, and Inception builds a heist inside layers of dreams.
Interstellar sends a crew through a wormhole to find a new home for humanity, and Oppenheimer traces the life of the physicist behind the atomic bomb. This year The Odyssey brings Homer's hero home from Troy.
Type Nolan in the search bar and every one of them appears in a single set of panels, ready to add to My List in viewing order.
Tarantino, Scorsese and Spielberg
Three directors fill whole evenings on YIFY. Quentin Tarantino brings Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill: Vol. 1, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood.
Martin Scorsese brings GoodFellas, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street and Killers of the Flower Moon.
Steven Spielberg brings Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report and Catch Me If You Can, and produced the miniseries Band of Brothers.
Family franchises
Some animated series are best watched in order with the whole family. The Ice Age films run from Ice Age to Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Ice Age: Continental Drift and Ice Age: Collision Course.
Kung Fu Panda has Kung Fu Panda and Kung Fu Panda 2, How to Train Your Dragon has three films, and Madagascar brings Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted and the spin-off Penguins of Madagascar.
Despicable Me runs from Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 to Despicable Me 4, and the Shrek films from Shrek to Shrek Forever After.
The 1980s
The 1980s shelf is small and much loved. Back to the Future and Back to the Future Part II remain the definitive time-travel adventures, and Die Hard set the pattern for every action film that followed.
Aliens turned horror into action, Top Gun made fighter pilots stars, and The Fly is a landmark of body horror. Dead Poets Society and The Little Mermaid close the decade in very different moods.
From Japan come My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service and Akira, and from Germany Das Boot and Wings of Desire.
Three nights on YIFY
A classic night: The Shawshank Redemption followed by The Green Mile, two prison stories with very different endings. A world-cinema night: Cinema Paradiso, then Amélie.
A Bollywood night: 3 Idiots to laugh, Tamasha to think and Bajirao Mastani for spectacle. A series weekend: the first season of Mr. Robot or the whole of Band of Brothers.
For families, Spirited Away, Up and How to Train Your Dragon suit every age. Add a night's titles to My List and they will be waiting.
Following a series
Following a long series is easier with YIFY's season pages. Open the series, pick a season, and every episode is listed in order with its title and air date.
When you stop, press Reached this episode. Next time, the series page and My List both show where you left off, so you pick up at the right place on your service.
Search understands episodes too: "Breaking Bad S5E14" or "Game of Thrones season 3 episode 9" leads straight to the right series and season.
The YIFY help pages
YIFY has eighteen short help pages. How to watch and Subtitles cover the basics, the TV shows guide and Seasons and episodes cover series, and 720p and 1080p covers picture quality.
Two pages explore the catalogue: World cinema and The 2010s. Others cover phones and TVs, free and legal viewing, safety, the official site and site status.
All of them are listed on the Help page, linked from the greeting line at the top of every page.
Korean cinema today
Korean cinema kept growing after the classics. Train to Busan turned a train journey into a zombie thriller, and Peninsula and #Alive carried the idea further.
Snowpiercer sent the last survivors of humanity around the world on a train, Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds took an afterlife fantasy to the top of the Korean box office, and Burning turned a short story into a slow-burning mystery.
Park Chan-wook's Decision to Leave and No Other Choice show a master at work, and The Wailing remains one of the most unsettling horror films of the decade.
Hollywood in the 2020s
The 2020s shelf mixes blockbusters and surprises. Dune and Dune: Part Two brought Frank Herbert's desert planet to life, Top Gun: Maverick returned to the skies, and The Batman took the hero back to detective work.
Everything Everywhere All at Once won the big awards with a story about a laundromat owner across the multiverse, and Barbie turned a doll into a sharp comedy.
Family audiences found The Wild Robot, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Inside Out 2. The Films of the 2020s collection lists them all.
Scores and Top IMDb
The number next to the green star in every cell is the TMDB audience score out of ten, from people who rated the title on TMDB.
The Top IMDb tab ranks the hundred highest-scoring films and series with at least five hundred votes. Long-loved titles such as The Shawshank Redemption, Spirited Away and Breaking Bad sit near the top.
TMDB and IMDb scores usually agree on older titles and can differ slightly on new releases, while votes are still arriving. The Top rated panel on the home page shows the first six.
TV drama and crime
The TV shelf is where YIFY differs most from a plain film catalogue. Breaking Bad follows a chemistry teacher's fall over five seasons, and Better Call Saul tells the story of the lawyer who helped him.
Mr. Robot is the series people search for most alongside the YIFY name: a cyber-security engineer with a secret life as a hacker, across four seasons. Dexter, Prison Break, Peaky Blinders, True Detective and You keep the crime shelf full.
Office and courtroom drama come from Suits and House, and The Mentalist mixes mind games with murder cases. The Crime and drama series collection lists them all.
Fantasy and science-fiction series
Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon bring Westeros to the screen, The Witcher follows a monster hunter, and Vikings tells the sagas of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons.
Stranger Things, Westworld, Black Mirror, Lost and FROM explore the strange and the unexplained, and The Walking Dead and The Last of Us survive very different apocalypses.
Marvel and Star Wars series include Loki, Marvel's Daredevil, What If...? and The Mandalorian. The Sci-fi and fantasy series collection gathers them.
Comedy and animated series
For shorter episodes and easy evenings, the comedy shelf delivers. The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Big Bang Theory are the comfort shows people return to again and again.
Animation for adults is well represented: Rick and Morty, INVINCIBLE, Arcane and Love, Death & Robots each bring a distinct style.
Cobra Kai revives The Karate Kid with warmth and humour, and Wednesday gives the Addams family's daughter her own school mystery.
Band of Brothers and the great miniseries
Band of Brothers holds a special place on YIFY: ten episodes following Easy Company from training to the end of the Second World War, produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.
It pairs naturally with Saving Private Ryan and Das Boot for a war-history weekend, and with Hacksaw Ridge and Fury for more recent films of the same era.
True Detective and The Last of Us also work as self-contained seasons, ideal when a long series feels like too much.
Collections
Collections are ready-made shelves. The TV ones are TV series, Crime and drama series, and Sci-fi and fantasy series; the film ones are organised by language, genre and decade.
Language shelves include Hollywood and English-language films, Bollywood, World Cinema, European films, Japanese films and anime, Korean films, and Hong Kong and Chinese films.
Genre shelves cover action, horror and thrillers, comedy, drama, sci-fi and fantasy, crime and mystery, romance, animation and family, and superheroes. The Collections page lists every shelf with its count.
My List
My List keeps the films and series you want to watch. Press Add to My List on any title page, and the title joins the My List page in the same three-column panels.
For series, My List also shows Where you left off: the episode you marked with Reached this episode, with a link back to its season page.
The list lives in your browser and works straight away. Export My List makes a small file you can import on another device. The My List guide has more.
YIFY on a phone
On a phone, YIFY rearranges itself. The logo and the green Menu button share the top line, the greeting moves below them, and the tabs fold into the menu, which opens just under the header.
Titles show two to a row, the side column moves beneath the main column, and every button stays large enough to tap comfortably.
Add YIFY to your home screen from the browser menu for one-tap access. Films and series play in the official apps of each service; the Apps and devices guide explains the options.
On the big screen
A TV is the natural home for films and series. Choose a title on your phone, then start it in the same service's app on your smart TV or streaming stick, signed in with the same account.
Casting with Chromecast or AirPlay sends a title from phone to TV in one tap. Epics like The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and series like Game of Thrones were made for it.
YIFY also opens in a TV browser, where the dark page and light panels are easy to read from the sofa.
Downloading for later
Most major services let you download films and episodes inside their apps. The downloads play offline on flights, trains and anywhere the signal drops.
Downloads stay available while your subscription is active, with a viewing window once you start. Choose a lower quality to save space or a higher one for a tablet or laptop.
A whole season of Mr. Robot or a long film like Interstellar downloads comfortably over home Wi-Fi before a trip.
Free and legal
Watching free and legally is possible in most countries. YouTube, Tubi, Pluto TV and Plex carry free films and series with adverts, and in India JioHotstar and MX Player have free sections.
Public broadcasters add more: BBC iPlayer, ITVX and Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, and SBS On Demand and ABC iview in Australia. Library services such as Kanopy and Hoopla are rich in world cinema.
The Watch panel marks free options for your country. The Free films and shows guide lists more.
Services by country
In India, Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 and SonyLIV carry Hollywood and Bollywood, and JioHotstar carries many HBO series. In the United States and Canada, Max is the home of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon and Band of Brothers.
In the Philippines, Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ lead, with local services for Filipino films. In the United Kingdom and Australia, the public broadcasters join the global services.
Whatever the country, the Watch button lists every option on one page. The Where to watch guide compares them.
From release to streaming
New films open in cinemas, then reach digital rental and purchase, and later join subscription services. New series usually premiere directly on a service, one episode a week or a whole season at once.
YIFY lists films from their release date and series from their first episode, so they are ready to save before they reach your service.
The Watch button always shows the current step, and My List keeps track of what you are waiting for.
The official YIFY
The YIFY name has appeared on many addresses over the years, and people still search for them. This YIFY has one fixed address, shown in your browser, with its own design and writing.
Bookmark it or add it to your home screen, and it always opens with your country and My List in place.
Look-alike pages are easy to spot by their pop-ups, app prompts and stacked download buttons. The Official site and Site status guides explain what to check.
Staying safe
YIFY shows covers, details and links to JustWatch and official services, and each button goes exactly where its label says, which keeps browsing simple and safe.
Official services protect your device and pay the people who make films and series, from Hollywood studios to Mumbai producers and Italian directors.
Elsewhere, leave any page that opens windows by itself or asks for card details. The Safe and legal viewing guide has a short list of warning signs.
YIFY and YTS
YIFY and YTS are often searched together, because both names became shorthand for good-quality films. This site is YIFY, a catalogue of films and series that takes you to official services in HD.
The quality comes from the services themselves, which stream in 1080p and beyond and adapt to your connection.
The YIFY and YTS page explains more.
How YIFY chooses its titles
The YIFY catalogue leans toward the 2008 to 2016 years that people associate with the name, with plenty of room for classics, this year's releases and the series worth a whole weekend.
World cinema is chosen from the films with the strongest audience scores in each language, and Bollywood from the Hindi films audiences return to. Films named in people's searches, from Tamasha and Swiss Army Man to Chungking Express and Eight Legged Freaks, are added as they appear.
YIFY is a catalogue for a general audience. Titles sold as erotica are left out, so every panel is comfortable to browse with anyone nearby.
Where the information comes from
Covers, titles, synopses, genres, runtimes, seasons, episodes, casts and audience scores come from TMDB, the community film and TV database.
Where to watch comes from JustWatch, updated daily for each country. The help pages and this guide are written for YIFY.
The catalogue is refreshed regularly, so new releases and new seasons arrive and scores settle as votes come in.
Where to start
New to YIFY? Start with Popular Movies and Latest Movies on the home page, then open the TV Shows panel for something longer.
If you know the title, type it in the search bar. If you know the mood, use the genres in the side column, the collections, or the filters on the search page.
When you find it, press Watch to see where it plays in HD in your country, and add the next one to My List. Enjoy the show.
